Where the resort is
In the centre of Mirgorod, Poltava region, on the banks of the Horol river. Distances by road: 101 km from Poltava, 250 km from Kyiv, 236 km from Dnipro, 224 km from Kharkiv.
How to get here
By train — to Mirgorod station on the Kyiv–Poltava line of the Southern Railway. The resort is about 3 km from the station: take a minibus to the centre, or a taxi directly to the sanatorium.
By bus — the bus station is 250 metres from the resort entrance.
By car — Mirgorod lies on the Kyiv–Poltava–Kharkiv highway. There is guarded parking on the grounds of the sanatoriums.
What the resort consists of
Four sanatoriums — “Berezoviy Gai”, “Mirgorod”, “Poltava” and “Khorol” — together with the Mud and Hydropathy Clinic and the resort polyclinic.
What is treated here
The core profile is digestive diseases and metabolic disorders. Alongside it there are six specialised and sixteen rehabilitation departments.
Each sanatorium has its own specialisation:
- “Berezoviy Gai” — metabolic disorders, thyroid conditions, diabetes mellitus in adults and children.
- “Mirgorod” — conditions following strokes, head injuries and surgery on the cerebral vessels; rehabilitation of those who took part in the clean-up of the Chornobyl accident; urogenital conditions; conditions following eye surgery; non-specific respiratory diseases.
- “Poltava” — rehabilitation after surgery on the stomach and gallbladder, hypertension, conditions following myocardial infarction and surgery on the heart and blood vessels, disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
- “Khorol” — health care for expectant mothers, gynaecological conditions, a department for parents with children, rehabilitation after radical therapy for cancer.
What the package price includes
Accommodation, three dietary meals a day, diagnostics and treatment as prescribed by a doctor. The list of procedures and examinations that are and are not included is on the “Indications for treatment” page.
Is Mirgorod mineral water right for me
The doctor prescribes the regimen individually — how much, at what temperature and when — depending on your condition and any concurrent illnesses. Drinking the water “as you see fit” is not advisable: some conditions call for lower mineralisation or a smaller volume.
From what age are children accepted
From the age of four. The “Khorol” sanatorium has a department for parents with children who have gastrointestinal conditions; “Berezoviy Gai” offers rehabilitation for children and adolescents with diabetes mellitus accompanied by one parent.
Which documents to bring
Passport, tax identification number, a health resort card or an extract from your medical records, the results of your most recent examinations, and a list of any medicines you take regularly. For children — a birth certificate and a certificate of epidemiological contact.
