Indications

  • Subacute period after hysterectomy (supravaginal amputation of the uterus with or without the adnexa, extirpation of the uterus for leiomyoma, adenomyosis or endometrial hyperplasia (N70–N77), uterine prolapse (N81))
  • Subacute period after surgery on the uterine adnexa (ovaries, fallopian tubes) (N70)
  • Subacute period after removal of ovarian tumours (benign tumours, cysts, division of adhesions to the fallopian tubes and similar) (D27; N99.4)
  • Subacute period after surgery for pelvic peritonitis, without raised temperature (N73.4; N73.6; N73.8)

Contraindications

  • Malignant tumours and suspicion of them
  • Conditions accompanied by uterine bleeding (endometrial hyperplasia, endometrial polyps and similar)
  • Bleeding cervical erosion, or suspected cervical dysplasia detected by colposcopy and cytomorphological examination
  • Breast tumours (fibroadenoma, focal fibroadenosis, acute or diffuse mastitis and similar)
  • Vesico-intestinal and vaginal fistulas
  • Precancerous conditions of the female genital organs, and the period after surgery for malignant tumours
