Contraindications

- Acute infectious diseases of the eye and its adnexa
- Acute diseases of the eye and its adnexa; chronic eye diseases in the acute phase or with a latent course
- Acute circulatory disorders of the retina and optic nerve (thrombosis and embolism of the central retinal artery or central retinal vein)
- Severe retinal damage (retinopathy) and damage to the optic nerve and its blood supply against a background of systemic disease (arterial hypertension, atherosclerosis and similar) (H35)
- Degenerative processes in the retina and choroid accompanied by haemorrhages and changes (H31.1, H31.3)
- Retinal detachment — recent and unoperated, or successfully operated within the past year (H33)
- Malignant tumours of the eye and its adnexa
- Glaucoma in the acute stage (attacks); uncompensated glaucoma at any stage of the disease; absolute glaucoma; secondary uncompensated glaucoma during a flare-up (H40–H42)
- General contraindications to health resort treatment
