Indications

  • Consequences of radical antitumour treatment for breast cancer: impaired lymphatic drainage from the arm on the affected side; restricted movement in the shoulder joint on the operated side; autonomic-vascular disturbances and neuropsychiatric disorders
  • Consequences of radical antitumour treatment for cancer of the female genital organs: post-castration syndromes (autonomic-vascular, neuropsychiatric, metabolic and endocrine disturbances)
  • Consequences of radical treatment for stomach cancer: mild and moderate post-resection disorders — dumping and hypoglycaemic syndromes; gastritis of the gastric stump, anastomositis, reflux oesophagitis; concurrent conditions (hepatitis, cholecystitis, pancreatitis); functional disorders of the nervous system
  • Clinical group three (no evidence of disease spread)

Contraindications

  • Cancer patients who are still to undergo radical antitumour treatment, including those who have not completed radiotherapy or chemohormonal therapy
  • Suspected spread of the malignancy
  • Severe consequences and complications of the treatment received, requiring inpatient care
  • Severe post-radiation complications: leukopenia (below 3,000 leukocytes), thrombocytopenia (below 100,000 platelets), anaemia (haemoglobin below 70 g/l)
  • Severe functional and anatomical impairment following surgery
  • Patients who need assistance from another person
  • General contraindications to health resort treatment
